I’m Leaving IWOOT

I’ve worked two and half years now at IWOOT and a few things started bugging me. The chair I sit on has taken the exact shape of my behind. I’ve also become quite attached to my desk plant, which worries my shrink. Once, even, I was walking back from a night out and went to the office instead of my house!

So, I thought, it’s time to move on. It has been great working at IWOOT, I’ve learned a lot and had to opportunity to try out a lot of things. I’ve had a great marketing team to bounce ideas off, a ton of gadgets to play with, and infinite patience of my MD to test.

To be honest, working with affiliates has been a highlight. I’m not saying this because this is an affiliate blog, but because no other marketing channel has such a huge budget for beer and events. The people in the industry are all great (yet to see a properly grumpy one), I love the fact that we all work towards the same goals, and are here to co-operate, make sales and have fun.

My last day here is the 14th of August. If there are any projects that you started with me and want to finish off, do let me know. After that the rest of the team - Paula, Elliot, Angus and Matt - will pick up the channel and drive it forward. Julie Wood is of course always there to help.     Say it ain’t so man! I’m literally choking back sobs here.. We all wish you the best for your new role though, and know you’ll be successful.

    And yes, beers ARE expected now! ;)

    That’s assuming you HAVE a new role of course.. Maybe you’ll be roaming the streets as a bum for a while - in which case we wish you all the best and just know you’ll be successful at that. ;)

    Jamie, becoming a bum was a lucrative idea, but I did the reasonable thing and got a job (at Boden.) I’ll email you about beer :)

    Was always a pleasure working with you during my time at IWOOT, we certainly had a few laughs along the way.

    Sad to hear your leaving but glad that your moving on up the career ladder and wish you all the best for the future mate.
