Newsflash!

HI Everyone!

Two Important pieces of news!

Number one is that our warehouse is pretty much up and running as normal- there are still a few little things to sort out but we’re 99% there and service should be completely back to normal by mid next week. We are for now only offering standard delivery options, but Premium delivery should be back with us next week some time as well.

Number two is  featured on Dragons Den last night was the Magic Wand Remote control which we are pleased to say we already have in stock. It really is a cool and magical piece of remote kit. An update.

Dear Affiliate Partner,

As you may know,  I want one of those.com  has been acquired by The Hut Group. As a consequence we are in the  process of moving the IWOOT warehouse operation to a new distribution centre. This will cause some disruption to our dispatching of orders. We have prominently displayed this fact on both the delivery  and cart pages on our website. We have also set UK Standard delivery to “free” whilst we complete the move. You should not promote the free delivery option, it is simply  to provide our  customers with the choice of whether to wait longer than usual for their order to be delivered and to compensate them for doing so.

At IWOOT we are excited by the prospect of working with The Hut which is one of the fastest growing UK on-line retailers with great ambitions. The IWOOT acquisition is an important part of their Brand development strategy. It is also worth mentioning that The Hut has a particularly strong and well developed Affiliate programme and we are expecting to learn from their experience in developing this.

New in, Hot Picks and Best Sellers

Todays’s post is a bit of a hybrid due to a small excess of work to do on Tuesday. As you know we launch new and exciting products every week for which once a month I will endevour to give you a very pretty round up. But meanwhile, sometimes the products are SO excellent that you have to know now and not later. 

Big Trak is Back

This week the big exciting news is the launch of Big Trak.  Now, despite growing up in the 80’s I didn’t have one of these numbers, but I am reliably told by (even) geekier friends than me that it was THE thing to have. I must have been too busy with Pretty in Pink Barbie to notice. Anyway- it’s back and with all the great features of before. You can still program it to go two paces forward, fire it’s photon beam, turn left and bump into the door because you miscalculated. Put it on Pre-order because it’s set to be a hot seller to all the 80’s nostalgics out there. 

 

Retro Tastic Diner Phone

For another type of nostalgia altogether  we have the 50’s Style Diner phone. This is a fabulous replica of what seems to be an old fashioned Diner Phone but works just like a modern phone. So crank up the Juke box, grab a milkshake and a Pin-Up Girl and head back to a time where life was just that little bit simpler.

This lovely piece of kit now comes in black and is a super sexy addition to anyones Iphone. It doesn’t fit the iphone4 but seeing as so many people are having issues/not able to get one, this is hardly a problem.

One of the other hot picks this week is a bit of an oldie- the Pocket Fishing Rod. This product just keeps on going and having re-surgences. It must be all those mad fishermen out there.

And the other ones that just keeps on going are the AK47 aqua-fire  and the Pool Jet really they’re  too much watery summer fun.

This Weeks Hot Picks

I thought I’d give you all some of our top picks for the weekend. You probably all saw the newsletter I sent out on Tuesday with our exciting new products that we have launched this month, and I can tell you that already the Scratch Map & the Chatimals have shot into our top 10 sales spot! Exciting hey?

I’m told on good authority that a further 400 Scratch Maps have arrived into our warehouse and we’re just waiting for them to be checked, then they will be added to our site, so don’t dispair of lack of stock availability.

There are some other new-ish products that are surprise entries in this weeks top 10. At number 1. is the Flitter Fairies. These fantastical little ladies are sure to keep any little princess in your life happy for at least 15 minutes. Hey they kept me amused for ages on our IWOOT camping trip (see left for a slightly embarrasing pic of me)  and I have the attention span of a gnat. How they stay up is just magic. Really it is.

On a slightly different, less magical note, the another consistant top seller is the AK47 Aqua Fire. This impressive water pistol fires four ‘bullets’ of water per second , perfect for easily dispatching- or at least soaking  your summer enemies. Our very own Jenna has been participating in the 3 week long London Wide Streetwars which she assures me is a blast, of well, water mostly.

New Arrivals 19/7/10

Who caught the sun over the weekend? Looked like it was going to give Sunday a miss, didn’t it? And then BAM! Sun all over the place. Hope you managed to pick up one of our Zoku Ice Lolly Makers to make the most of it but, if not, we’ve got a whole heap of new stuff for you to get your mitts on. Our Creative team have had a great time decking out these Apple Clocks in a Twlight style, but they’re not just for werewolves and wimpy teenage girls. Water Wars

Ably modelled by DannyWoot (looks a bit nervous, doesn’t he?), our new Water Wars sets are the future of water fights.
